Ceylon Gem Exchange is a marketplace built for the people who live and work with gemstones in Sri Lanka — miners, dealers, lapidarists, jewellers and collectors. We help them connect, trade and build relationships across the country, and we welcome buyers and sellers from every corner of the world.
Our story
A network for gem people, not just Ceylon stones.
This platform started with Sri Lanka's legendary gemstone industry, but it is not limited to it. You can list or buy sapphires from Ratnapura, rubies from Mozambique, spinels from Myanmar, tourmaline from Afghanistan, diamonds from anywhere — every origin is welcome here.
Our main focus is the community inside Sri Lanka. Most of our dealers work from small shops in Beruwala, Ratnapura, Colombo and Galle. They know stones, but they often miss the connections they need to grow. We give them a direct line to fellow dealers, local buyers and international markets in one place.
We are a marketplace, not a middleman. No stone is purchased through us. Buyers and sellers talk directly, agree on their own terms and build long-term business relationships.
